Application
Galaxolide often used in combination with other musks, Galaxolide is widely employed in perfume formulations, where its dosage can reach 20–25%. Thanks to its excellent stability, alkali resistance, and lightfastness-without causing discoloration-it is extensively used in fragrances for soaps and other homecare products.
Since Galaxolide is a highly viscous liquid, commercial products are typically diluted to 50% concentration for easier handling. Common solvents include isopropyl myristate, benzyl benzoate, and diethyl phthalate to improve usability.
